The Field Manual
Every number here is read from the config this game is being played under. Its fingerprint is at the foot of the page, and it cannot change while the game runs.
1How you get on the field
Buy DEGEN through the official pool and you have enlisted. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign.
- You need at least 22,123 DEGEN to hold a position at all.
- Only trades on the official pool count.
- Tokens that arrive by transfer do not count. Only tokens you bought, with something paid for them, are hot.
- The field forms during Boot Camp, which lasts 3 days and needs 50 soldiers. If it does not fill, it waits another 3 days, up to 6 days in total, and is then called off.
2How you stay on it
Every 6 hours there is a Cut. How many fall depends on what the market did, not on what anyone says about it.
- The line held — more was bought than sold — 5% of the field falls.
- Retreat — more was sold than bought — 15% falls instead.
- Sell below the minimum balance and you're removed at the next Cut, first and in addition to the ranked Cut.
Who falls is decided by a score with three parts: how long you have held (60% of it), what you have scavenged (30%), and your return (10%, capped at 50% either way so size cannot buy a rank). Anyone within 10% of the line is shown as under fire.
3What the deserters leave behind
A sell of 487,566 DEGEN or more drops loot on the field for 15 minutes. Buy inside that window and you pick it up.
- Scavenged points are locked for 1 day.
- Sell before they unlock and you forfeit them, in the same proportion as the tokens you sold.
4How it ends
When the field is down to the top 20% — at most 100 soldiers — the Last Stand begins. Rounds shorten to 1 hour and 10% falls at each Cut, until 10 are left. A game that reaches 14 days ends where it stands.
The war chest is split 70% to the survivors and 30% equally across everyone who reached the Last Stand, winners included. A finalist who sells below the minimum forfeits their share; one who is simply outranked keeps it.
These are shares of a pool, not amounts. This is a shadow game: it follows a real market and records a real result, but there is no prize and nothing to claim.
